I stand in You

I stand in You when I face my foe,
Protected, known, defended too,

For You stand above, my Advocate.
So Lord, let me set down my tools,

These of laws and self-righteous rules
And rest, knowing that as I stand

Shod in armor not my own,
You forever stand on my behalf,

And stand to meet Satan’s fiery blows
Though his words, they true may be,

Truer still Your grace to me,
Let this my breakfast daily be.

Once I was weak, now I am strong
And stand with Holy Victor’s song.

On even me the Father beamed
Because I’ve been named Redeemed.

Dear reader,
I post once a week here and recently started sending a bimonthly newsletter. Devotional prose and poetry, as well as some book recommendations for you makes it "full of good things". If that interests you, please subscribe to follow along and I'll send you the most recent issue.

As always, thank you for reading.

Love, Rachel
