The Weeping Jesus

The Weeping Jesus

I've met the weeping Jesus
And He said "Come unto Me,
I've carried all your heartache
I saw just what you'd see."

I've met the weeping Jesus
With no platitudes for pain
No forced or empty optimism
Just weeping o'er sin's stain.

I've met the weeping Jesus
He knows my guilt and shame
He knows all that's been done to me
And carries me the same.

I've met the weeping Jesus
And He tender my grief holds
And I know if He weeps for me
Then He can make me whole.

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled. And he said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to him, “Lord, come and see.” Jesus wept.
